The Islander Series
The Islander Series roll shutter systems are fabricated from rolls of raw aluminum which are formed into a double walled slat. Custom mixed foam is injected into the slat cavity where it hardens and cures through a controlled heating process. All components are fabricated to your specific sizes and assembled by hand to ensure a truly custom fit. All components of the roll shutter system are constructed of aluminum or stainless steel to eliminate any rust from forming due to our tropical climate. Additional features such as a manual override (in case of power failure), wind and rain sensors (activates shutter at preset wind / moisture settings) and several types of key pad switches (prevents unauthorized operation) can be included in your roll shutter systems. All of our roll shutter systems are installed using aluminum and stainless steel components and hardware - You Will Never See Rust!The polyurethane filling used in the slats is environmentally friendly and through the curing process eliminate the problem of "out-gassing" fumes. The slats utilize a baked powder coated finish available in a variety of earth tone colors. If you live in a condominium or your home is governed by an AOAO, your Association has probably pre-approved specific color choices. The Kama'aina Series
The Kama'aina Series roll shutter systems are fabricated from aircraft grade extruded aluminum and has been tested and approved for hurricane use by the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County. All components are fabricated to your specific sizes and assembled by hand to ensure a truly custom fit. All components of the roll shutter system are constructed of aluminum or stainless steel to eliminate any rust from forming due to our ropical climate. Additional features such as a manual override (in case of power failure), wind and rain sensors (activates shutter at preset wind / moisture settings) and several types of key pad switches (prevents unauthorized peration) can be included in your roll shutter systems. The strength of the double-walled extruded aluminum slats allows for spans of up to 14 feet wide. The "dead air" space inside the double walled aluminum slat provides additional insulation from the heat of our Pacific sun.Due to the weight of these units a motorized operator is suggested. The Ali'i Series
The Ali'i Series roll shutter systems are fabricated from aircraft grade extruded aluminum and has been tested and approved for hurricane use by the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County. In addition to the heavy duty slat design a secondary locking hinge is positioned between every slat. This secondary hinge provides storm security and intrusion protection second to none in roll shutter design. All components are fabricated to your specific sizes and assembled by hand to ensure a truly custom fit. All components of the roll shutter system are constructed of aluminum or stainless steel to eliminate any rust from forming due to our tropical climate.
