Storm Panels
All Island Rollshutter LLC offers aluminum, polypropylene and Lexan Storm Panel Systems.
Our aluminum storm panel systems feature an inter-locking corrugated aluminum design which not only adds strength when in use, but also allows the panels to stack compactly in storage.
Our polypropylene and lexan storm panels are a double-wall honeycomb design for light weight and exceptional durability. It's opaque design (or clear lexan) also allows filtered light into the room when deployed.
Both designs have passed the State of Florida building code requirements for use in Hurricane situations.
The aluminum panels are inserted into an aluminum rail permanently mounted above each opening. The bottom of the panel is secured using wingnuts.
The polypropylene and lexan panels attach to your home via pre-installed hardware (tapcons / panel mates) outside each opening. The panels are attached using wingnuts or stainless steel bolts.
Polypropylene Hurricane Screen
All Island Rollshutter LLC offers one of the newest innovations in Storm Mitigation - the Polypropylene Hurricane Screen.
Remember those trampolines we loved to bounce on when we were kids?
That same rugged material used to cover those trampolines has been reborn as one of the mst practical, economic storm protection products on the market today.
Our polypropylene hurricane screens are a basket weave design for light weight and exceptional durability. It's opaque design also allows filtered light into the room when deployed. In addition to mitigating the damages of flying debris, the screens also eliminate 97% of wind and water intrusion.
Our hurricane screens have passed the Florida Building Code requirements for use in High Velocity Hurricane areas.
The polypropylene screens attach to your home via pre-installed hardware (tapcons / panelmates) outside each opening. The panels are attached using wingnuts or stainless steel bolts.
When not in use the screens conveniently store away in nylon "dufflre bags".
Glass Film
Armorcoat safety and security films are composed of optical quality polyester, ultraviolet inhibitors and special laminating and mounting adhesives with a scratch resistant coating.
Solar versions of Armorcoat reject up to 80% of the sun's solar energy to improve comfort, reduce energy use and improve exterior aesthetics.
All Armorcoat film products block almost 100% of ultraviolet light while providing fading and deterioration protection for your furnishings.
Armorcoat is used extensively by the United States Government and has been installed at the U.S. Capital building, the Pentagon, the headquarters of the FBI and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Over 80,000 square feet of Armorcoat safety film covers the glass of the U.S. Department of Energy Building in Washington D.C. The film reduces energy loss, heat and glare, as well as protecting the staff from flying glass in the event of an explosion, extreme weather or vandalism.
Storm Hardware
One of the most vulnerable areas during a storm is the garage door. On attached garages, the standard garage door WILL NOT withstand the effects of hurricane force winds. Once the garage area is breached the windows, doors and roof will be damaged due to the vacuum effect and upward pressure created within the garage.
Our retractable garage door braces are manufactured from aircraft quality aluminum and attach to the floor of the garage as well as the garage door panels. They are easily installed and removed with the turn of a few screws.
We sell and installs a complete selection of hardware and fasteners designed for exterior storm protection. Options include single and double hurricane clips, rafter braces, foundation ties, cable restraint systems and general purpose braces, ties and fasteners.
